How good are long weekends?

Three long weekends in a row! How good is that? I'm not sure about you guys, but here in Queensland, not only have we been able to enjoy an Easter long weekend, but we also have an Anzac long weekend coming up, followed by Labour Day next weekend. (You'll find me over here doing a little happy dance....). For me, this means more family time, more hangs with friends and making some more incredible memories.

Over Easter, we crammed in a whole lot of goodness, including Easter Egg hunts with friends, a trip to Wet and Wild to enjoy the rides and slides and our absolute highlight (wait for it...), yep, you locals guessed it ~ Bluesfest in Byron Bay! Holy wow, to say it was incredible is an understatement. Being able to watch live music in a festival environment, for the first time in years was so liberating. We danced, we got muddy, we sang, we laughed and we got even more muddy. It was also an introduction to festival days for our children. Oliver came home the next day and asked my hubs to start teaching him the guitar again, how inspirational are musicians?

I didn't take my camera along to Blues, because there are some days that a phone will work wonders and this was one of those times, so here's a few happy snaps for you to peruse.

Admittedly, I couldn't help myself, but capture some moments of the kiddos, in their absolute element, hunting for as much chocolate as the Easter Bunny could bring. I mean, look at these faces, the energy (and that's before they've even got to the goods).
